About The Director
Meet Allyson Kitchner, founder and director of The Purpose Company.
Ally grew up immersed in the competitive dance world and spent many years teaching both recreational and competitive dance. But everything shifted when she surrendered her life fully to Jesus. In that surrender, God began to reframe everything she thought dance was—revealing that it was never just performance, but worship, ministry, and purpose.
One of the greatest privileges of her life is leading The Purpose Company. What began as a name God placed in her heart in a moment of surrender has grown into a living assignment—far beyond what she could have created on her own. For Ally, this is not simply a studio or business; it is a ministry birthed by God’s hand, where Jesus is the heartbeat of everything.
In 2022, the Lord placed the name “The Purpose Company” on her heart. By 2024, He spoke a clear promise that He would “fulfill her whole purpose,” launching the dream He had been forming in her long before she could see it.
Ally holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Ministry, which deeply shapes the foundation of this Christ-centered dance company. Her passion is to see dancers not only trained in excellence, but formed in identity—rooted in Christ, confident in who they are, and awakened to the purpose God has placed within them.
Her heart is for The Purpose Company to be a place of passionate worship, training in excellence, and birthing Kingdom leaders—a space where dance becomes discipleship and movement becomes ministry.
God has also opened doors for Ally to minister through dance beyond the studio, confirming this calling is meant to reach far beyond Broome County. Her heart burns to see this message extend to the nations—the love, truth, and freedom of Jesus expressed through movement.
Ally is humbled and deeply grateful that God has entrusted her with this assignment, and she lives with expectancy for how He will continue to glorify Himself through The Purpose Company.
